Useful information.

The beaches.
The main beach is shingle in a perfect horseshoe bay and lapped by the crystal clear waters of the Ionian Sea with a backdrop of lush green olive groves which climb up the mountain to create a really dramatic effect. On the beach there are plenty of sun beds and umbrellas and a selection of water sports. Boat hire is also available. For refreshments there are a couple of Taverns. There are also some smaller more secluded beaches, some only accessible by boat. All are shingle or rocky.
General information.
There are two public telephones and a post box in the village. Several places offer exchange service and car hire is also available. The nearest ATM is in  Kassiopi.
Transfers.
The transfer time from Corfu Airport is approximately one hour.
Shopping.
There are three small supermarkets stocking everything you need for the perfect self catering holiday and two gift shops selling Greek crafts and souvenirs.
Eating out.
There are several Greek Tavernas serving everything from traditional Greek dishes to snacks you may be more familiar with. Some are right on the sea whilst others have amazing views over the bay. If you can drag yourseld away from Kalami, in kouloura you will find a charming harbourside taverna (short walk) or take a boat taxi to Agni, where you will find three more Tavernas.
Nightlife.
Nightlife is low key in Kalami with two bars offering local and international drinks and cocktails. In the cocktails and dreams bar you will find regular Quiz, Karaoke, and Greek Dancing nights as well as all the live TV sports action and the latest movies. For something a little livelier you can jump in a taxi for a short ride to Kassiopi where there are many bars and a couple of disco’s
Local walks.
Kouloura is a lovely little harbour and only fifteen minutes walk (by road) from Kalami. Agni, a twenty minutes five minutes walk by coastal path through the trees with fantastic scenery. Kerasia and San Stefanos: are both reachable by coastal path.
Location.
On the northeast of Corfu, 29 kilometres from Corfu Town and 6 kilometres from Kassiopi.
Bus Service.
Regular bus service south to Corfu town and north to Kassiopi.
Local interest.
Kalami was the home to Lawrence Dorrel Author of “Prospero’s Cell” and his home the “white house” is a taverna. Scenes from the James Bond film “for your eyes only” were filmed in the bay.
